Yes. If you were hurt in or around a Delray Beach 55+ community and someone else was at fault, Florida law lets you recover compensation for your medical bills, your income, and what the injury took from your daily life. We work on contingency — no fee unless we recover. I spent years on the insurance side. I know what happens to a claim file from a retiree in Kings Point the moment it lands on an adjuster’s desk. Now I use that against them.

A personal injury claim asks whoever caused your injury to pay for it: medical treatment, out-of-pocket costs, pain, and the parts of your routine the injury took away. Retirees can claim lost household services and future care, not just wages. And Florida gives you two years from the date of injury to file a lawsuit (Fla. Stat. §95.11).
What the claim covers. Medical bills, physical therapy, prescriptions, travel to appointments, and the pain the injury caused. If your injuries are permanent, the claim also accounts for how your life changes long term: the chores you can no longer do, the driving you can no longer safely do, the care you may need later.
Retirees have lost-income claims too. No paycheck doesn’t mean no damages. If a broken hip means you can’t maintain your home, care for your spouse, or run the errands you always ran, that loss has a dollar value. Future care counts. So does the help you now have to hire.
Fixed income changes the math, not the case. You pay nothing up front. The firm advances every case cost, and our fee comes out of the recovery as a percentage. If the case doesn’t recover money, you owe us nothing. I eat the costs. That’s the deal.
If a car was involved, PIP pays first. Your own auto policy’s personal injury protection covers up to $10,000 in medical benefits, but only if you get treated within 14 days of the crash (Fla. Stat. §627.736). PIP is still the law in Florida. Repeal bills have been proposed — the most recent died in committee in 2025 — and nothing has changed yet. Treat the 14-day rule as a hard deadline. Two weeks is shorter than it sounds when you’re the one recovering.
In 2024, Palm Beach County recorded 26,550 crashes, 16,564 injuries, and 207 deaths. Some of those crashes happened on the roads you drive every week.

Peter J. Porcaro spent his early career on the insurance defense side, watching insurers undervalue claims from people exactly like you. He built this firm to work the other side of that desk. He is board-certified, a credential the Florida Bar awards to a small percentage of Florida lawyers, and he has recovered more than $15 million for injured clients.
Peter graduated from Penn State with a B.S. in Biology in 2003 and earned his law degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2006. He is a member of the Florida Bar (#31147), the Pennsylvania Bar, and the Palm Beach County Bar Association, and he is admitted to practice before the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. He opened Porcaro Law Group in 2015 after years on the insurance defense side, where he watched insurers lowball claims from people exactly like you.
Here’s what hiring a solo firm means. You get Peter, not a case manager. The lawyer handling your case answers your questions. We prepare every case as if it’s going before a Palm Beach County jury, because that’s how you get insurance companies to pay what a case is actually worth. The firm carries the tagline “We Take The Cases Other Firms Won’t” because it stays selective enough to try every case it takes. Our clients rate us 5.0 on Google.
Our firm has recovered more than $15 million for injured clients across Palm Beach County. That figure covers car crash cases, fall-down cases, and serious injury cases handled by Peter Porcaro personally. Every case is different, and no result predicts another.
Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome.
Clients from Delray Beach’s retirement communities describe the same experience: direct access to Peter, straight answers about their case, and results that beat what they expected. Our firm holds a 5.0 Google rating. Here is what they said, in their own words.

I can’t say enough good things about my experience with Porcaro Law Group. From the moment I reached out, I felt like more than just a case number, they truly listened, cared, and made me feel supported during a really difficult time. After my accident, I was overwhelmed and unsure of what to do next. Their team walked me through everything with so much patience and compassion. They explained the legal process clearly, kept me informed at every step, and always made time for my questions, no matter how small. What stood out the most was how hard they fought for me. You could tell they genuinely wanted the best outcome, and I never felt like I was being rushed or pressured into anything. They were professional, but also down-to-earth and easy to talk to, which made a stressful situation so much easier to handle. I’m truly grateful for everything they did and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Porcaro Law Group to anyone who needs a personal injury attorney who actually cares and delivers results.Posted on Google![]()

Porcaro Law Group serves injured residents of five of Delray Beach’s largest 55+ communities: Kings Point, Huntington Pointe, Huntington Lakes, Valencia Falls, and Valencia Palms. Our office at 401 Linton Blvd sits minutes from all five. Each community has its own roads, routines, and accident risks. Here’s how we help in each one.
Kings Point stretches across the Jog Road corridor west of Delray Beach, one of Delray Beach’s largest 55+ communities. Daily life runs on golf carts and cars sharing the same crossings. The situations we see most: a car turning left onto Jog Road striking a resident in the crosswalk, a cart and a car meeting at a marked crossing, and falls in the clubhouse and pool parking lots. Our office sits about three miles south, a straight shot down Jog Road, roughly ten minutes door to door.
Huntington Pointe sits along the Hagen Ranch Road corridor, a road that carries steady commuter traffic between the Turnpike interchange and the neighborhoods east of it. Residents feel that traffic every time they pull out of the community entrance. The calls we get from Huntington Pointe usually involve two things: parking-lot falls at the shopping plazas along Hagen Ranch, and rear-end collisions at the corridor’s busiest entrances. Our office is about fifteen minutes east, down Linton Blvd, close enough that a same-day sit-down is never a problem.
Huntington Lakes sits in the Hagen Ranch Road and Lyons Road pocket, a sister community to Huntington Pointe with its own clubhouse, pools, and golf-cart paths. Those paths meet public roads at marked crossings, and that’s where trouble finds people: a driver rushing through a crossing, a cart clipped while turning in, a fall on a curb cut that should have been maintained. When you call, you’re calling a firm about fifteen minutes from your front gate. You’ll talk to Peter, not a call center.
Valencia Falls sits west of Military Trail in the Lyons Road and Hagen Ranch Road area, deep in west Delray Beach where errands mean longer drives on faster roads. The cases we see from Valencia Falls follow the geography: crashes on Lyons Road and Atlantic Avenue, parking-lot falls at the plazas residents rely on, and injuries on community walkways that weren’t kept safe. Our office is roughly fifteen minutes away on Linton Blvd. When a case needs to be trial-ready, the courthouse and the preparation happen here, not at some distant firm.
Valencia Palms sits in west Delray Beach, where daily routines run west toward the Turnpike and east along Atlantic Avenue. That pattern shapes the cases: a left turn across traffic on Atlantic, a crash on the Turnpike ramp, a fall carrying groceries in a plaza parking lot. Injuries that happen in daylight, on an ordinary errand, still deserve a lawyer who prepares every case for trial. We’re about fifteen minutes east of Valencia Palms, and Peter answers the phone himself.
The injuries we see from Delray Beach’s 55+ communities follow predictable patterns: falls in common areas and parking lots, golf cart conflicts at community entrances, and car crashes on the corridor roads. Each pattern points to a different type of claim. And each one has an insurance company on the other side looking to pay as little as possible.
More than 1 in 4 adults 65 and older falls each year, according to the CDC. A fall that would bruise a 30-year-old can break a hip at 70. When a fall happens because a community or business left a walkway broken, a parking lot poorly lit, or a spill unmarked, that’s a premises liability claim. If you fell on community property, report it in writing, photograph the scene, and see a doctor promptly. If a vehicle was involved in any way, remember PIP requires treatment within 14 days.
Many residents hesitate here, and I understand why. You live next to these people. Here’s the part that settles it: the claim is almost always paid by the community’s or business’s insurance company, not by your neighbors. Nobody writes a personal check. The insurance company took the premiums; the claim asks them to do their job.
We handle these cases through our Delray Beach premises liability lawyer practice.
Golf carts are how much of daily life happens inside these communities, and the danger lives at the boundary, where cart paths meet public roads. Florida law treats low-speed vehicles as vehicles subject to equipment and roadway rules (Fla. Stat. §316.212), but drivers in cars don’t always watch for carts the way the law expects. The typical case: a cart crossing at a marked crossing gets clipped by a car turning in, or a cart struck while merging near a community entrance. These cases turn on fault, witness accounts, and scene evidence. Document everything early.
These three corridors carry the traffic of west Delray Beach, and they produce a steady share of Palm Beach County’s 26,550 crashes in 2024. Left turns, rear-end collisions at entrances, and intersection crashes dominate. Here’s something I’ve seen from both sides of the courtroom: insurers blame senior drivers first, hoping you’ll accept fault you don’t own. Florida’s modified comparative negligence rule (Fla. Stat. §768.81) says you can recover as long as you’re 50% or less at fault. Don’t let an adjuster’s first offer decide the question.
Our Delray Beach car accident attorney page covers these cases in depth, including what to do after a car accident and the mistakes that hurt auto accident claims.
Some cases go beyond a broken bone. A catastrophic injury changes how you live. A wrongful death takes someone you love. And when neglect in a nursing home or assisted living facility causes harm, that betrayal deserves to be answered.
If you’re facing any of these, here is the information that matters. These cases demand the deepest investigation and the most thorough preparation, and that preparation is what produces full value. The firm takes them on contingency: no fee unless we recover for you. When you’re ready to talk, we’re here, day or night, at (561) 450-9355. There’s no obligation and no pressure.
These cases run through our catastrophic injury and wrongful death practices.
If you were hurt in Kings Point, Huntington Pointe, Huntington Lakes, Valencia Falls, Valencia Palms, or anywhere in Delray Beach, call and tell me what happened. I’ll tell you straight whether you have a case. If I don’t believe in your case, I’ll tell you. If I take it, I’m all in.
The office sits on Linton Blvd, about ten minutes from Kings Point via Jog Road and roughly fifteen minutes from the Hagen Ranch Road and Lyons Road communities. If getting here is hard, we’ll figure out the easiest way to get you help, including virtual consultations.
The consultation is free, and you pay nothing unless we recover for you.

Nothing up front. The firm works on contingency: our fee is a percentage of the recovery, and the firm advances case costs. If the case doesn’t recover money, you owe nothing. A fixed income never has to be the reason you skip calling a lawyer.
Two years from the date of the injury, under Florida’s statute of limitations. Miss it and the court will dismiss the case no matter how strong it is. Call early enough that evidence, witnesses, and video footage are still available.
Most cases settle, but only cases prepared for trial settle well. Insurance companies pay full value when they believe the lawyer across the table will actually try the case. Peter prepares every case that way, and his insurance defense background means he knows exactly what convinces them.
You can still recover. Under Florida’s modified comparative negligence rule, you recover as long as you’re 50% or less at fault, reduced by your percentage. Insurers often assign seniors more blame than the facts support. Don’t accept their first fault assessment.
Report the fall in writing to the community or property manager, photograph the hazard and the scene, and get medical care promptly. If any vehicle was involved in the incident, PIP’s 14-day treatment deadline applies to your medical benefits. Then call a lawyer before giving a recorded statement.
Yes. Kings Point is about three miles north of our Linton Blvd office, a straight shot down Jog Road. We represent Kings Point residents in car crash, golf cart, fall, and serious injury cases, and Peter handles every case personally.
Yes. PIP remains Florida law: up to $10,000 in medical benefits through your own auto policy, available only if you’re treated within 14 days of the crash. Repeal bills have been proposed — the most recent died in committee in 2025 — and nothing has changed yet. Treat it as hard law.
Tell me what happened, and I’ll tell you straight whether you have a case. The consultation is free, and you pay nothing unless we recover for you.
Contacting Porcaro Injury Law does not create an attorney-client relationship. That relationship is formed only through a signed written retainer agreement.
