The insurance company started working your claim the day of the crash. You have two years to file a lawsuit under Florida law, and only 14 days to get medical treatment that protects your PIP benefits. My office sits right here in central Delray Beach, on the Linton Blvd corridor — minutes from where your crash happened. You pay nothing unless we win.

I spent years defending insurance companies before I started representing people hurt in crashes. I know how they think, what their adjusters look for, and how they try to make your claim worth less. Now I use that against them. I earned my B.S. in Biology from Penn State in 2003 and my J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2006. I’m licensed in Florida (Bar #31147) and Pennsylvania, and I’m board-certified in civil trial law — a credential the Florida Bar awards to a small percentage of Florida lawyers.
When you hire me, you get me. Not a case manager, not a paralegal reading a script. I don’t bluff, and insurance adjusters know my name.
My firm has recovered more than $15 million for injured clients. Here are some of the results:
| Result | Case Type |
|---|---|
| $1,800,000 | Premises Liability |
| $1,200,000 | Medical Malpractice |
| $600,000 | Automobile Crash |
| $590,000 | Automobile Crash |
| $415,000 | Premises Liability |
| $210,000 | Trucking Crash |

My office is at 401 Linton Blvd, Ste 202A — in central Delray Beach, not a satellite office an hour away. The Linton Blvd corridor runs through the middle of my practice. When you’re treated at Delray Medical Center five minutes from your crash scene, I’m five minutes from there too. You don’t drive to West Palm Beach to sit in a lobby. You come to Linton Blvd, park for free, and talk to the lawyer who will actually handle your case.
This part of the city has its own traffic. The Linton Boulevard commercial corridor packs shopping-center plazas and turn lanes into a short stretch. Congress Avenue carries stop-and-go commuter traffic north and south. Lake Ida Road funnels park and boat-ramp traffic toward Lake Ida Park. And Federal Highway (US-1) runs its mid-town stretch right through the neighborhood. I handle crashes from all of it — and I know the roads well enough to ask the questions an out-of-town lawyer wouldn’t think to ask.
Palm Beach County recorded 26,550 crashes, 207 deaths, and 16,564 injuries in 2024. Plenty of them happened on the roads you drive every day. Here’s where.
Linton Blvd is the spine of central Delray Beach. It carries traffic past strip malls, restaurants, medical offices, and big plaza entrances on both sides. The pattern I see most: a driver slows to turn into a shopping-center plaza, the driver behind them looks at their phone, and the rear-end collision follows. Plaza turn lanes on this corridor are where patience runs out and bumpers meet.
Congress Avenue moves commuter traffic through central Delray in heavy stop-and-go waves, especially at rush hour. Signals come up fast, cars bunch up, and rear-end crashes pile in. Stop-and-go traffic also produces low-speed impacts that seem minor at the scene but leave real injuries — whiplash, back strains, and headaches that show up a day or two later.
Lake Ida Road feeds Lake Ida Park, and on weekends that means trailers, boat ramps, and drivers who’ve never towed anything before. Park traffic mixes families pulling in with trucks backing trailers down the ramp. Add pedestrians crossing between parking lots and the water, and the crash risk climbs. I’ve handled claims from this stretch, and the mixture of park visitors and local traffic makes fault disputes common.
US-1 cuts through mid-town Delray with a mix of local traffic, deliveries, and drivers cutting over from the interstate. Left turns across traffic, side-street pulls, and pedestrian crossings make this stretch unpredictable. It’s older road design carrying modern traffic volume — and the crash patterns show it.
Delray Medical Center sits at 5352 Linton Blvd, with a 24-7 emergency room. It’s about five minutes from most crash scenes in central Delray Beach — and five minutes from my office. If you’re hurt, go get checked out. Then call me.
Florida’s PIP law (§627.736) remains fully in force. Here’s the part most people miss: you must get medical treatment within 14 days of the crash to protect up to $10,000 in PIP benefits. Miss that window and you can lose those benefits entirely — even if the crash wasn’t your fault.
Adrenaline hides injuries. People walk away from a rear-end collision feeling fine, then wake up stiff two days later. Don’t wait for the pain to prove the point. Get seen inside the 14 days. Repeal bills have been proposed — the most recent died in committee in 2025 — and nothing has changed yet.
When you hire me, I advance all the costs of building your case: medical records, experts, filing fees. You don’t pay those out of pocket while you’re recovering.
Florida gives you two years from the date of the crash to file a personal injury lawsuit. That’s the statute of limitations under §95.11, and it’s shorter than most people expect. Miss it and the courthouse doors close — no matter how strong your case was. The insurance company knows the clock is running. They count on you waiting.
Cases from central Delray Beach are filed at the South County Courthouse at 200 W Atlantic Ave, a satellite of the 15th Judicial Circuit. Your case stays in Delray Beach — not an hour north in West Palm Beach. That matters for you: hearings, mediations, and trial happen close to home, before judges who hear Palm Beach County injury cases every week.
One more reason not to wait: evidence fades faster than the deadline. Skid marks get repaved. Cameras overwrite footage in weeks. Witnesses move and forget. The two-year limit is the legal deadline, but the practical deadline for building a strong case is much sooner.
I work on contingency. My fee is 33.3% of the recovery if we settle before a lawsuit is filed, and 40% after filing. You pay nothing up front, and if we lose, you owe me nothing. I eat the costs — medical records, experts, filing fees, depositions. The insurance company has a team of adjusters and lawyers on their side. You get a board-certified trial lawyer who doesn’t get paid unless you do. That’s the deal, and it’s in writing before we start.
Palm Beach County recorded 4,705 hit-and-run crashes in 2024. The driver left the scene. You still have options. Your own uninsured motorist coverage may pay your claim, and in many cases the driver is found — cameras, witnesses, and vehicle damage tell a story. I investigate hit-and-runs the same way I’d build any case: fast, before the trail goes cold.
Every case is different. Compensation generally covers your medical bills, lost wages, future care, and pain and suffering. The results on this page — $1.8 million for a premises case, $1.2 million for malpractice, six figures on auto crashes — show the range when a case is built the right way. What I won’t do is promise you a number on the first phone call. I’ll tell you what your case has, what it’s missing, and what an honest range looks like once I’ve seen your records.
Florida follows a modified comparative negligence rule under §768.81. If you’re partly at fault for the crash, your recovery is reduced by your share of the blame. If you’re 51% or more at fault, you recover nothing. Here’s why that matters: insurance adjusters know this rule too, and they inflate your share of fault to shrink your check — or kill your claim. I push back with the evidence, not with arguments.
Two things you do in the first days matter more than anything else. Read my guide on what to do after a car accident, and avoid the mistakes that hurt your claim — especially giving a recorded statement before you’ve talked to a lawyer.

If you’re coming from Delray Medical Center after treatment, it’s about a five-minute drive.

Peter and staff were concerned with my case but early on more concerned with making sure I had proper medical care and made recommendations with the best physicians. They were in contact with me on a regular basis which made the entire process smooth. In the end my settlement was much better than I could have ever expected. Forget the the large impersonal firms call Peter and know you are in good hands.Posted on Google![]()

I can’t say enough good things about my experience with Porcaro Law Group. From the moment I reached out, I felt like more than just a case number, they truly listened, cared, and made me feel supported during a really difficult time. After my accident, I was overwhelmed and unsure of what to do next. Their team walked me through everything with so much patience and compassion. They explained the legal process clearly, kept me informed at every step, and always made time for my questions, no matter how small. What stood out the most was how hard they fought for me. You could tell they genuinely wanted the best outcome, and I never felt like I was being rushed or pressured into anything. They were professional, but also down-to-earth and easy to talk to, which made a stressful situation so much easier to handle. I’m truly grateful for everything they did and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Porcaro Law Group to anyone who needs a personal injury attorney who actually cares and delivers results.Posted on Google![]()

Two years from the date of the injury, under Florida Statute §95.11. Miss that deadline and you lose the right to sue, no matter how strong your case is. Evidence fades faster than the deadline, so the practical answer is: call a lawyer now, not in month 22.
Florida’s PIP law requires you to get medical treatment within 14 days of a crash to protect up to $10,000 in benefits. The law (§627.736) remains fully in force. Get seen by a doctor inside that window, even if you feel fine — adrenaline hides injuries.
Nothing up front. I work on contingency: 33.3% of the recovery if we settle before filing a lawsuit, 40% after filing. If we lose, you owe me nothing — I advance all case costs. Your first consultation is free, and you speak directly with me, not a case manager.
You still have a case. Palm Beach County saw 4,705 hit-and-run crashes in 2024. Your uninsured motorist coverage can pay your claim, and investigation — cameras, witnesses, physical evidence — often identifies the driver. Report it to police immediately and call a lawyer before the trail goes cold.
Yes, if you’re 50% or less at fault. Under Florida’s §768.81, your recovery is reduced by your percentage of blame, and it’s barred entirely at 51% or more. Adjusters inflate your share of fault to reduce what they pay — which is exactly why you want a trial lawyer pushing back.

You don’t need to have it figured out before you call. Tell me what happened, and I’ll tell you where you stand — the deadline, the PIP clock, and what your case actually has. You’ll speak directly with me, Peter Porcaro, not an intake script. Calls are answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Se Habla Español. Creole assistance available.
